Credit Card Verifier allows you instantly check all major credit cards number for validity without submitting the card number online. Credit Card Verifier can validate any VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, Carte Blanche, EnRoute, American Express (AMEX), Discover, or JCB credit card number. Credit Card validator uses LUHN10 (MOD-10) algorithm, so it only validates the integrity of the number combination, not the credit card itself.

Credit Card Verifier detects and displays credit card type early depending on the first digits of the card number.

Credit Card Verifier only verifies whether or not a credit card checksum is valid; it does not validate the credit card account. In order to verify a credit card account, you will need software that can access credit card networks, and, typically, submit authorization request on the card account. If you need to charge credit cards and validate credit card accounts, please look into a merchant provider such as Authorize.net

The verifier is limited to 16 digit's which is fine for most bank cards: visa, mc, amex and disc. However, there are a slew of gift cards, prepaid cards, private labels and fleet cards that have account numbers longer than 16 digits. It would be nice if the longer lengths could be supported also.

I am a chartered accountant in india and in a recently attended seminar Luhn's algorithm was discussed and i was searching on google to get behind the Luhn's Algorithm fundamentals and your webpage was listed so to try out this programme for testing I downloaded. My suggestion is that the result window showing "Valid or Invalid visa/master/etc Card" whould be more prominent by using larger fonts so that it looks more attractive to actual users.
